How to Install SimulIDE on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa)

Step 1: Prerequisites
a) You should have a running Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
Server.
b) You should have sudo
or root
access to run privileged commands.
c) You should have apt
or apt-get
utility available in your System.
Step 2: Update Your Server
First you need to update the system cache with all the latest available updates from Ubuntu repo by using sudo apt update
command as shown below.

Step 3: Install SimulIDE
In the next step, you need to install SimulIDE package from default Ubuntu repo by using sudo apt install simulide
command as shown below. This will install the package along with all its dependencies.

Step 4: Verify the Package
Once the package is successfully installed, you can verify the installed files by using dpkg -L simulide
command as shown below.

Step 5: Launch SimulIDE
To start application, you need to Click on Activities
and search simulide
in the Search box as shown below. Once it appears, you need to click on it to open.
Once clicked, it should open like below. This confirms SimulIDE is installed successfully and it is now fully ready to use.
